Damage Claims |
| Contrary
to most Consumers belief, it is actually the responsibility of
the Consumer of said received product (s) to make the original
claim with the Carrier (UPS, US Postal Service). According to
UPS Representatives the Consumer must call their local UPS
carriers office to make the claim or have the packages
inspected. We at BT&A will work with our Carriers to find the best possible means of getting your damaged merchandise replaced. It is our policy to have the carrier inspect the box for damages before the merchandise can be returned to our factory. It is understandable to our Carriers that some products we carry are very fragile. However shipping is very unpredictable due to the distance and multiple handling of said products. We make every effort to ship the products as safe as possible, using foam peanuts & presentation poaches., bubble wrap, double boxing if needed, etc.). Even gift boxes help when shipping as they give the product that much more of a buffer. If there is a claim to our company about a broken shipment (especially if all the products in that package are broken or otherwise damaged) it automatically sends a red flag to our company. Unfortunately we have had this happen in the past and that is why we are strict about the insurance and packaging. Once the packages leave our doors we have no control over what happens. Everything lies in the hands of the carrier at that time. Unfortunate as it is, the more you ship or have items shipped to you, the faster you realize that anything can happen. We at BT&A hope that there are never any problems in shipping any of our products to the destination point, unfortunately this type of thing could happen at any time. If this should happen please remember to save the box. We will need the original shipping carton to assist in making a damage claim with the carrier. All shipments are insured by the appropriate carrier the moment they leave our facility. |
